Tg means Glass Transition Temperature.
When the working temperature reaches to the melting point, that means the temperature exceeds the Tg value, the status ofpcbmaterial will be changed from glassy to liquid, which will affect the function of pcb. And this value is related to the stability of the pcb dimension.
High Tg refers to high heat resistance in PCB raw material,normally PCB manufacturer use cooper lamination between 130-140℃. High TG is generally greater than 170℃,and middle Tg refers to 150℃. So in general if the TG over 170℃we called it High Tg board. Nowadays with the fast development of technology ,and electronic industry,high TG board are widely used in all kinds of area. For example someMultilayers PCB need use the high heat resistance to make sure the quality is reliable and stable. Also some special PCB manufacturing technology also need the High Tg board to manufacturing the small via or ,thin circuits.
